The 10th Annual Cold Turkey Plunge is almost here! This annual Atheneum fundraiser features hundreds of spectators and swimmers who brave the cold waters at Children’s Beach on Thanksgiving morning to benefit the Weezie Library for Children.

If you pre-register for the Turkey Plunge, you will still need to check in at the registration desk on the morning of the Plunge to receive your wristband and t-shirt.

Plungers are encouraged to have their family, coworkers and friends sponsor their participation in the Turkey Plunge by pledging to pay an amount of their choosing.

All proceeds benefit the Nantucket Atheneum Weezie Library for Children, the island’s public library. For those last minute Plungers who decide on Thanksgiving morning to swim, the library requests they make a $25 donation when they register at Children’s Beach.

Please arrive at the beach at least 30 minutes early to register and receive your wristband and free Plunge tee-shirt.

Now in its tenth year, the Cold Turkey Plunge attracts several hundred swimmers and close to 800 spectators each year.
