New York City Ballet
Taylor StanleyÂ was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and began his dance training at the age of three at The Rock School in Pennsylvania. He attended summer programs at Miami City Ballet in 2006 and 2007 and at the School of American Ballet (SAB), the official school of New York City Ballet, during the summer of 2008 before enrolling full time at SAB in the fall of that same year. In September 2009, Mr. Stanley became an apprentice with NYCB, and joined the Company as a member of the corps de ballet in September 2010. He was promoted to soloist in February 2013.
Mr. Stanley received the Mae L. Wien Award for Outstanding Promise in 2009 and was the 2011-2012 recipient of the Janice Levin Award.
Since joining the Company he has featured roles in George Balanchineâ€™s Episode, George Balanchine’s The Nutcrackerâ„˘ and Square Dance, Peter Martinsâ€™ Fearful Symmetries, Jeau de Cartes, Romeo + Juliet and Swan Lake, Alexci Ratmanskyâ€™s Russian Seasons, Jerome Robbinsâ€™ Interplay, Christopher Wheeldonâ€™s Les Carillons and Polyphonia in addition to originating roles in Martinsâ€™ Mes Oiseau and Oceanâ€™s Kingdom, Â Peckâ€™s In Creases and Year of the Rabbit, Benjamin Millepied, Why am I not where you are and Lynne Taylor-Corbett The Seven Deadly Sins.
