Donations will be considered on a per-item basis in accordance with the following guidelines:
- The library may accept hardcover and paperback books, CDs, and DVDs in good condition.
- Materials may be added to the collection, put in Atheneum book sales, donated to other institutions, or discarded.
The Atheneum will not take:
- Titles that are three years or older in the following subjects: travel, computer science, medicine, economics, accounting, law or science.
- Magazines
- Text books
- Encyclopedias
- VHS Tapes
- Books on Tape
- Condensed books
- Dated nonfiction
